Jackson Energy owns and operates a fleet of over 90 fuel transports along with utilizing reputable commoncarriers to ensure dependable and timely delivery service to all of our customers. All Jackson Energy transports are equipped with advanced technology, which enables a continuous line of communication between our centralized dispatch center and the drivers. Continuous communication improves the accuracy of fuel load tracking to ensure your order records are processed in a timely and professional manner.
A safe delivery is just as important to us as speed and accuracy. We require that our drivers attend periodic hazardous materials and regular mandatory safety skills training in accordance with the Department of Transportation regulations. We conduct extensive background screening, prior employer checks, and drug screening on all of our drivers prior to putting them behind the wheel.

Jackson Energy dispatch personnel are available around the clock to accommodate for unexpected volume increases, find answers to critical questions, or double check delivery progress. Accounting
Helping our customers is more than a job; it is our passion. Jackson Energy’s Accounting Department prides itself in being able to assist our customers with inquiries arising from invoices, EFT’s, or other accounting related issues. Our automated information systems allow us to provide you with accurate information vital to operating your convenience store. We have the capability to provide daily fuel pricing, daily credit card information, invoicing, and EFT notifications in several different electronic formats.
Employee cross-training is a top priority at Jackson Energy. We train not only in the employees’ current position, but also in common practices of the wholesale fuel industry. We hold monthly cross-training sessions which allows our Accounting department to understand how our accounting and IT systems operate. These sessions also allow us to understand the daily duties of our other departments, including Dispatch, Transportation, and Marketing. This cross-training gives your designated Accounting contact the avenues to answer most questions you may have.
Founder
John D. Jackson, a Chevron, Texaco, Shell, 76, Conoco, Phillips66, Exxon, Mobil, Valero, Sinclair, and Marathon Marketer based in Meridian, Idaho, founded Jackson Energy in 1980 and has grown to be a nationally recognized supplier of over 1,200 branded and unbranded retail sites in nine western states.
John is personally involved in many associations such as, St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center Board of Directors, US Bank-Western Idaho Advisory Board, Chairman Emeritus National Shell Wholesale Council, Member of the Chevron Western Region Jobber Council; State of Idaho Petroleum Storage Tank Fund Trustee, and the Killebrew-Thompson Memorial Golf Tournament.
Mr. Jackson was awarded Boise Area Chamber of Commerce “Small Business Person of the Year” in 1993, received Idaho Coaches Association “Distinguished Service Award” in 1998, presented with United States Senator Mike Crapo’s “Spirit of Idaho” award in 2003, chosen as “Idaho’s Brightest Star” in 2006 by Governor Dirk Kempthorn and was awarded the Liberty Bell Award by the Fourth District Bar Association in 2011.
John attended Boise State University majoring in accounting.
